Public Internet Access Center

The public center of informational service was opened in august 1999 on the base of National Library of Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of project UNDP “Reforms of governmental service and encouragement of the governmental administration”. The center was applied by modern facility (10 computers, server, print device, scanner, network facility) and also has provided free access to Internet. The center provides access to Internet resources for all not depending on their social position or age criteries. Center of public Internet access

More than 50 people are attend the center every day. There is registration in the center of all visitors, and also the prerecord is available.

The main task of the Center is the providing of free access to Internet and means of electronic mail from 9-00a.m. to 17-00p.m. everyday.

The users of the Center can be only the readers with the reader ticket of National library. In order to work it is bound to be noted in “Journal of the record”. The reservation of the computer is conducting only on current and next day. The reservation is available within 10 minutes from the registration, then the opportunity of the using the computer is transforming according to living term. The limit of the work with computer is-1 hour.

Technical rules

It is prohibited to change with computers during work, also working on computer more than 1 user.
The work with diskettes is available only with the permission of the shift librarion on special designed computers. If not a reader deprives from the right of working on computer.
It is prohibited to change the work installation specific settings, to task any kind of programmes from Internet, compact discs and invoke them on computer.

The utilization of scanner-1 page (size A4)-7som;
Printing-1page-3som;
Work with (MS Word) and other programmes-1hour-10som;

In case of the breach of the rules, an user deprives from the right of access to the Center and the reader ticket.
